Pinterest is one of the social networks most used by people today, in it we can search through photographs; Ideas, tutorials, fashion and even infographics very useful to facilitate our life when we look for accurate information on some subject.

Internet is a large warehouse with billions of files in it. Every day a brutal amount of documents, photographs, graphs and endless files are created that we would never finish counting.

As we told you a few days ago an Australian engineer had developed an app for blind people with which objects around us could be recognized. In a similar way, Pinterest is looking for the camera of our mobile device to recognize objects through the photos we take with it and that in turn can recommend Pins from your platform.

This new division of Pinterest is led by Stanford scientist Jure Leskovec, who mentioned that despite everything they have done, they still have a long journey ahead and that the best of Pinterest is yet to be built.

Pinterest Lens is a project in which the company has been working long time ago and which aims to revolutionize the way we look for content within the platform and why not in the future throughout the web.

Leskovec also mentions that Pinterest currently processes 300 billion images per day, which has resulted in a 200 percent increase in recommendations given to users every time they look for a subject.
