Mewtwo, Mew, legendary birds and more new features will reach GO Pokémon in 2017. This week, the German division of Wired has published an interview with Niantic CEO John Hanke in order to uncover where Pokémon GO is going this year. Days ago we knew about the exchanges and fighting between players in the game for iOS and Android, but today we know something more; Mew and Mewtwo in Pokémon GO will be reality this year.
First, Hanke was questioned about what fans can expect from the second major Pokemon GO update that will see the light this year. Recall that the first landed a few weeks ago including 80 new second-generation Pokémon to Pokémon GO. The head of the company again insisted on the possibility of playing with other players in the gyms of the title.
“The game, when it comes to battles in gyms, is very limited. They just do not work as well as we want so we are going to review this aspect of the game to encourage teamwork and include greater incentives for all players. ”
As for the other upgrades of Pokemon GO for 2017, Niantic is thinking about how players could trade and fight each other, something we’ve already talked about, but surely what most diehard fans of the game will appreciate is that Mew And Mewtwo in Pokémon GO will come true this year, if all goes well.
Legendary pokémon birds
Niantic wants to fulfill the requests of the fans to bring all the legendary Pokémon to Pokémon Go. This includes Mewtwo, Mew, and legendary birds associated with the three Nintendo title teams. “I can say with certainty that we can see them this year,” said Hanke thus satisfying the desires and hopes of the players.
Remember that since the game was launched last summer, there were rumors about users that have managed to hunt Mewtwo in Pokémon GO, but it turned out to be fake. However today neither this nor the rest of powerful “pocket monsters” are available in the game.
Finally the head of Niantic said that they will fight against all cheats in Pokémon GO who alter the configuration of the GPS to raise levels in the game in an altered way.
