The Samsung Galaxy S8 with Exynos is more powerful than the Snapdragon version

ExCos 9 SoC

Although it seems a lie given everything we already know, Samsung has not yet officially unveiled the Galaxy S8 / S8 +. The wait becomes increasingly difficult, although as the filing date approaches, the leaks increase considerably, both in quantity and in importance. The last one we could access through PhoneArena could be especially revealing.

Apparently, the first performance tests of the Samsung Galaxy S8 + in its international version have been leaked, a fact that has caused great expectation among the media. And, if this leak is true, the Exynos 8895 could be much higher than the Snapdragon 835 from Qualcomm.

If we get into the filtered information, the first thing we observe is the average score of both chips. The Samsung gets 1978 points in the single core, while in the multi core the score is 6375, both beating the processor of Qualcomm.

As can be seen in the filtered image, the Snapdragon 835 scores 1929 and 6084 points in single core and multi core respectively, remaining somewhat below than the Exynos 8895. Fortunately, this is something that the average user will not even notice, since in terms of performance both are the best.

However, the differences are much more remarkable when we compare the current generation of SoCs with the previous one. The Exynos 8895 exceeds in almost all aspects its predecessor the Exynos 8890, although it is also true that in certain areas, the difference is minimal.

Apparently, it seems that the people of Samsung have put special emphasis on certain fields in particular, such as facial detection, speech and HDR image processing. Undoubtedly, these are qualities increasingly persecuted by users, particularly the one that belongs to the photographic field.

What do you think of these ratings? Do you prefer a Samsung Galaxy S8 + with Snapdragon or Exynos?
