HTC U (Ocean), the true successor of the HTC 10 will arrive this year

HTC has not changed over the last few years. Since its sales plummeted some time ago, the Taiwanese firm does not make a great effort to raise it. The latest proof of this is the HTC U Ultra, the latest attempt by the manufacturer to produce something worthwhile. Unfortunately, most reviews are inclined to think otherwise.

The HTC U Ultra is a device that crashes almost every way. The company has a new opportunity to mend all the mistakes of the past with its next flagship for 2017, the HTC U, also known as HTC Ocean.

We have been able to take a look at the first real image of what could become the authentic manufacturer’s flagship for this year, the HTC U. Apparently, the phone would inherit much of the design philosophy employed in HTC U Ultra. The aesthetics of the filtered phone could be summarized as ‘glossy surfaces and rounded edges’.

According to information revealed by the well-known @evleaks, the HTC U will have a 5.5-inch screen with QHD resolution, which would put HTC at the height of its rivals this year. Under the hood and in charge of moving all those pixels, we would have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.

The photographic section would consist of a 12-megapixel rear camera and a front of, surprisingly, 16 megapixels. If the filtration is right, the HTC U would have touchable frames that we know as Edge Sense. This functionality would be activated by pressing hard or sliding your fingers over the edges of the phone.

In this way, although nothing is known about the date of official presentation, it seems that we are before the true heir of HTC 10. We will keep you informed if new leaks arises.
