Amazon introduces new versions of its tablets

Amazon has just announced a new line of Fire tablets, as well as a new version of the Kids Edition of its Fire HD 8.

On one hand, Amazon is now betting on Fire 7, thinner and lighter with a slight improvement in the screen to improve the contrast and display the text lighter. They have an improved 7 inch IPS display, longer battery life and better Wi-Fi connectivity. Fire HD 8 changes its price and offers an 8 inch HD display with more than 1 million pixels, a Quad-Core 1.3 GHz processor and up to 12 hours of battery life.

With a distribution date scheduled for June 7, the most relevant is the expansion of the Kids Edition to Fire HD 8, so parents can already order an 8-inch HD version of the tablet.

In terms of versions and prices, the new Fire 7, in its 8 GB or 16 GB version, has the possibility to extend the memory up to 256 GB additional using a microSD card with a special price for Amazon Premium customers of 54.99 Euros or around $ 60.

The new Fire HD 8, in its 16 GB or 32 GB version, has the possibility to extend the memory up to an additional 256 GB with a microSD card with a special price for Amazon Premium customers of 89.99 Euros around $ 100.

Both devices will begin shipping to customers as of June 7 and can now be booked from the Amazon Store. With this new version of tablets Amazon offers users more choice in terms of tablets and at a very reasonable price too.
