The year 2016 was such a good year in terms of games that it is not surprising that some were completely overshadowed and forgotten, even expected games of high budget. This is what happened to ‘Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’, the new installment of the saga after ‘Human Revolution’.
In spite of treasuring a great quality, like his predecessors, not so much has been spoken of it as of other games that also left last year and that have appeared in almost all the lists of the GOTY. ‘Deus Ex’, however, has not been so remembered, but that does not mean that it does not exist and that it stops updating.
A new dimension
Eidos Montreal has released a free demo of their game through Steam, with the particularity that you can play virtual reality. In fact, that’s what makes it so special. ‘Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – VR Experience’ is the name of this mini version of the game, which even has its own page on the Valve platform.
It consists of letting us explore freely four areas of the original ‘Mankind Divided’, only with the relevant virtual reality helmet to make us feel as if we were really there. Areas that are included are Dubai, Golem City, Adam Jensen’s apartment, and Talos Rucker’s offices.
The demo will allow us to walk through all these environments and examine both their technical and artistic finish in the first person. Also we will have the possibility to see closely several of the models of some of the important personages that appear in the game, being obviously the protagonist of the same one, Adam Jensen.
It is not exactly the RV mode that would transform the base game into a completely new experience, but it is a grateful approach for all curious gamers and most importantly it is free.
