AMD will have three Radeon RX Vega, the slowest higher than the GTX 1070

The launch of the upcoming and awaited AMD Radeon RX Vega is just around the corner, and little by little, new information is coming out. Now the possibility is shuffled that AMD is working on no less than three different models for the initial launch, being the least powerful of them superior to the current GeForce GTX 1070.

This new information at its core has some validations made in the online database of 3DMark, which point to the Device ID that are supposed to have Radeon RX Vega 10: 687F: C1, 687F: C2, and 687F: C3. All three models have 8GB of HBM2 memory, and according to the performance result in 3DMark Time Spy shown in the captures, even the least powerful of these three has a higher score than the NVIDIA GTX 1070. The fastest model, meanwhile, plays in the same league as the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

As it seems, and it is clear that this will be the case, all three models have different core configurations and speeds. It seems that AMD has based its design on the Fiji colors of the Radeon R9 Fury X, the R9 Fury and the R9 Nano in this respect, these three models having quite similar provisions. This is also logical to end up being this way as everything is said.

It is assumed that AMD will launch the new Radeon RX Vega in this second quarter of the year, so we have very little left to leave any doubts (in theory to comply with this agenda the deadline would be June 30), but this we tell you, as now we know that instead of a single model that was expected so far, we will have at least three different models.

However, we do not question the veracity of the captures that are extracted from the validation database of 3DMark but we must take into account that the result cannot be too precise given that currently there are no drivers optimized for these graphics cards. In fact if it is true then the catches would have been obtained with engineering samples, and commercial models could have substantial changes.

In any case as we always say we will be waiting to have official information from the manufacturer to start making claims for sure.
