During the last few days a lot was discussed about the new flagship of Nokia, the Nokia 9. It is expected for the third quarter of the year, but the Nokia 9 does not come alone. Nokia’s catalog for 2017 is wide, by the end of the year it is expected that there will be seven Nokia phones on the market.
Nokia already works with Android in China with the Nokia 6, but the brand will show more phones this year to try to make a gap among the best-selling mobile phones from entry-level phones like the Nokia 3, unveiled at the Mobile World Congress, to the high end Nokia 9, not yet officially presented. We review everything we know about the Finnish brand for this year.
The most economical of Nokia phones was presented during the Mobile World Congress. This is a 143.4 mm (high) x 71.4 mm (wide) x 8.48 mm (thick) phone. The Nokia 3 features a five-inch screen with IPS technology and resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels (294 dpi) protected by Gorilla Glass 2.5D.
The Nokia 3 has a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor with a frequency of up to 1.3 GHz. It has 2 GB of RAM and the internal storage of the phone is 16 GB but it can be expanded up to 128 GB through micro SD card. The autonomy of the phone is 2,650 mAh.
The Nokia 3 has an eight megapixel main camera with an f / 2.0 aperture, LED flash and the ability to record video at a maximum resolution of 1080p. For its part, the front camera is also eight megapixels and has a wide angle of 84 degree and a f / 2.0 aperture.
The Nokia 3 is expected this spring. It will be priced around $150 and will be available in white silver, tempered blue, matte black and white copper.
The Nokia 5, designed to fit within the midrange, comes in metal and glass in a phone designed in one piece. Its dimensions are 149.7mm x 72.5mm x 8 mm. The screen of Nokia 5 is 5.2-inch IPS-type panel with a resolution of 1,270 x 720 pixels (282 dpi) and covered by Gorilla Glass 2.5D, just like the previous model.
In this case, the phone’s processor is from Qualcomm: a Snapdragon 430 octacore operating at a maximum frequency of 1.4 GHz. The phone has a 2 GB of RAM and an internal memory of 16 GB expandable through microSD card up to 128GB. The battery of the phone is 3000 mAh.
As for the cameras of the phone, the rear is 13 megapixels with aperture f / 2.0 and double flash LED dual tone. The front camera of the Nokia 5 is an eight megapixel sensor with wide-angle lens and f / 2.0 aperture.
The Nokia 5 will hit stores for a price of $200 and will be available in tempered blue, copper, matte black and silver.
The Nokia 6 already works in China as the first Nokia phone to work with Android. The phone has dimensions of 154 millimeters high by 75.8 millimeters wide and 7.85 millimeters thick. The screen is 5.5 inches. An IPS panel with an FHD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (403 dpi) and covered by Gorilla Glass 2.5D.
Like the previous model, the Nokia 6 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor. Its RAM is 3 GB or 4 GB, as an option, and the internal storage rises up to 64 GB with the possibility of being extended by microSD card up to 128 GB. The phone will have a battery life of 3,000 mAh.
As for the cameras, the Nokia 6 comes with a 16-megapixel rear sensor with f / 2.0 aperture and focus, as well as dual flash LEDs with different color temperature, designed for night shots. The front camera is 8 megapixels, wide-angle and aperture f / 2.0.
The Nokia 6 will be priced around $300 and will be available in tempered blue, copper, matte black and silver, just like the Nokia 5. There will also be limited edition, Nokia 6 Art Black Limited Edition, with a glossy black finish.
The flagship of Nokia is not yet official but leaks and rumors place it at the top of the catalog. The phone is expected for the third quarter of this year with a price of $699. According to rumors, the phone will have a 5.5-inch Quad HD OLED screen and will come with an excellent multimedia equipment: a Zeiss 22 megapixel camera and a front camera of 12 megapixels, placing the phone as one of the best in the market for photography. In addition, it would bring the Nokia OZO audio sound technology, compatible with 3D sound.
As for the hardware, to become official, the phone will bring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 6 GB of RAM, two storage possibilities (64 or 128 GB of storage) and a battery of 3,800 mAh.
Smartphones will not be the only thing that occupy the Nokia catalog. The return to the classics will come with the Nokia 3310, a phone with a battery of up to 22 hours on call. The phone has dimensions of 115.6 mm high x 51 mm wide x 12.8 mm thick. Its TFT screen is 2.4 inches with resolution 320 x 240 (167 ppi). It only features a 2 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. For its part, it has an autonomy of 1200 mAh that can be upto 22 hours of conversation or 50 hours listening to music for this phone.
The phone has an internal storage of 16 GB expandable by microSDHC up to 32 GB and has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
