Just a couple of weeks ago, the first press image of the Moto Z2 Play design came forward. It showed a really slim smartphone, but with lines similar to that seen in the Lenovo Moto family of devices. We now know that reducing the thickness will lead to a significant reduction in battery capacity, a fact that we found out from the filtration of the characteristics of Moto Z2 Play.
Lenovo is in a phase of remodeling its device catalog. At the beginning of the year the Moto G family was updated, with Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. In addition to so many mobiles coming along, we know that one of the highlights will be Moto Z2 Play. The natural substitute of Moto Z Play from where we began to find out its details and characteristics before the more than probable and imminent official presentation of the mobile.
Moto Z2 Play Design
As we mentioned in mid-April, the design of the Moto Z2 Play has been uncovered with every detail. One of the most notable aspects from the photograph that was revealed was the thickness of the equipment. Apparently, the profile of Moto Z2 Play was thinner than actual Moto Z Play. However, the first leak did not clarify anything in this sense since the dimensions were not filtered.
On this occasion we also have no access to the official measures, although the popular @evleaks has provided details that speak of a thickness so small that practically remains the same as the Moto Z that is 5.19 millimeters.
If aesthetically it is a differentiating point, the negative connotation of this physical factor arrives in the form of battery capacity.
The leak perpetrated by Evan Blass through VentureBeat brings to light the main features of Moto Z2 Play and one of those corresponds to the capacity of the smartphone battery. In total the battery capacity will be 3,000 mAh, a figure that supposes a significant reduction compared to the 3,510 mAh that counted the previous model. Undoubtedly this reduction will bring with it a reduction of autonomy, which is said to fall from 50 hours to 30 hours of use.
Other features of the Moto Z2 Play
The list of specifications of Moto Z2 Play is reduced to the main parameters of every smartphone. Thus, the characteristics of the Moto Z2 Play go through the adoption of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 with 2.2 GHz processor and Adreno 506 GPU along with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage system.
As for the screen, Lenovo seems to lean over the same 5.5-inch AMOLED screen and FHD resolution. On the other hand, the main camera of the Moto Z2 Play will feature a 12 megapixel sensor and optics whose aperture has an f / 1.7 value. The front camera sets the maximum resolution of the sensor to 5 megapixels.
