Finally Android 7.0 is Coming to the Unlocked Moto Z Terminals in United States

As we indicated at the end of last month, Moto Z would receive Android 7.0 Nougat update in February, while Moto Z Play would receive it in March. Everything is going according to plan, because today is February 5 and we have the news that the OTA update has already reached a large part of the terminals.

From January 25 until now they had been testing the update on the beta devices, but it is not until now that it reaches other users. We continue without knowing the reason why Moto has decided to update the Z version before, as we know the Z Play version has practically Android AOSP and therefore the personalization layer is almost nil.

On the other hand, Verizon versions of the USA have already received Android 7.0 Nougat since early November, and it is very strange, as we know the updates with such operators always come with months of delay. It is funny because the security patch dates from 1st of November, which means that the update is ready from that day. .

In any case, Moto is leaving much to be desired as far as updates are concerned, at least since it is in the hands of Lenovo, because while Google had the power everything was much more fluid.

One of the great promises that Motorola made at the time and that was partially fulfilled was that they would update all devices to the latest version possible in the shortest possible time. As we see this promise is behind us, it has already been five months since the release of Android 7.0 Nougat and we still do not have it in the top-of-the-range devices of the brand.

If you are one of those who use this terminal and still don’t have the updated version of Android then better update your terminal now.
