The legendary StarCraft will return to life in the summer of this year with a remastering in high definition that includes the original video game along with its epic content expansion, the classic StarCraft: Brood War.
Blizzard in a statement confirmed:
“We have remastered the drives, the structures and the environments, we have improved the audio of the game, and we have extended the compatible resolutions.”
The playability of the original will remain intact in this StarCraft Remastered, although new details have been included as a series of “illustrated events that will give life to the fights and victories of heroes like Artanis, Phoenix, Tassadar, Raynor or Kerrigan like they have never done” .
Terran, Zerg and Protoss will fight again in the Koprulu Sector in a memorable video game strategy that does not forget, of course, their multiplayer epic with many hours of fun we had in the distant 1998. There will be online games, but we will also have option of combat connected in LAN. As for graphics, StarCraft Remastered will achieve 4K resolution, improving the image of its user interface and the quality of the units and structures we control in this real-time strategy game.
During the games we can zoom in to observe the troops in detail, or “move the camera away to have a global view of the battlefield (as if you were on a battle cruiser).” In sound, the soundtrack and the original dialogues have been re-recorded and rejuvenated. The remastering of StarCraft also adds the options “friends of Blizzard and allocation of games” so that everything online flows quickly and naturally.
