LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport Officially Introduced with Android Wear 2.0 Through This Video

Over the last few days a lot of graphic material and details surfaced about two new LG smartwatches. Today they have finally become official, so we know in detail all its features, design and price, where it’s most outstanding novelty is the adoption of Android Wear 2.0 natively. Both will go on sale next February 10 and will be priced between $249 and $349.

Google and LG have jointly presented the new LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport as they are the first smart watches that will natively launch Android Wear 2.0, in addition to including Google Assistant. While the software is one of the great novelties, the manufacturer also does its part with refurbished designs, as well as details and features such as water resistance and dust rated IP68.

LG Watch Sport Design

The first of the two smartwatches presented was the LG Watch Style. It is the most basic model as far as its technical file is concerned, with specifications that will not make a notable leap compared to the previous generation of smart watches.

In the design section, the watch is displayed in an elegant and refined style thanks to a box made of rounded aluminum. In the case of the LG Watch Style, a leather strap has been introduced. Altogether, the wearable offers a traditional design that is not far from the appearance of a conventional watch. Of course, as a novelty we appreciate a crown with which the user can interact with the operating system in conjunction with the touch screen.

In terms of features, the LG Watch Style has a 1.2-inch P-OLED display with 360 x 360 pixel resolution. In the performance section, a Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor and 512 MB of RAM, as well as a 4 GB storage system and WiFi and Bluetooth connections. The battery has a maximum capacity of 240 mAh.

LG Watch Sport Design

The other option presented by the South Korean manufacturer is the LG Watch Sport. This model offers a much sportier look, while maintaining the form factor of the LG Watch Style. So we find a smartwatch with round box made of aluminum, although this time the belt is made of plastic. On one of the sides we have three buttons, a crown and two others that act by pressure.

Under the technical features of the LG Watch Sport, the firm gives the model more prominent specifications by incorporating a circular screen with 1.38-inch P-OLED panel and 480 x 480 pixel resolution. In its interior we find a Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor and 768 MB of RAM. The internal memory is also 4 GB, although this model is much more prominent in the area of wireless connectivity since it includes WiFi and Bluetootooth, in addition to LTE, GPS and NFC connection. This latest chip will be instrumental in supporting Android Pay. As for the battery, the sports model will have inside with 430 mAh.

Pricing and release date

The new LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport go on sale next February 10 and will initially do so in the US through the Google store and carriers like AT & T and Verizon. The official price of the LG Watch Style will start at $249, although there will be a pink gold version that will cost $279. For its part, the LG Watch Sport will go on sale at an official price of $349.
