Phil Spencer to meet third-party publishers in Japan

In the framework of a round of questions and answers made last night by Xbox boss Phil Spencer and brand fans, he highlighted the manager’s trip to Japan this week and shares some details about Project Scorpio.

In a first response, Phil Spencer reported that he will be traveling to Japan this week to meet with third party distributors, with the aim of gaining more support for Xbox One in that area. At the same time, he stressed that he loved Final Fantasy XV on Xbox One and knows that fans want more games as well.

@ Darrenunger81 I’ll be in Japan next week talking to 3P publishers. It was great getting FFXV, I know people want to deliver more.

Later, the Xbox boss addressed questions related to Project Scorpio, where he was motivated by the development of the project and made it clear that the performance of games, new and old, will demonstrate the reason why users will choose Project Scorpio.

@LokoZillian Our games, old and new, have to show why someone would choose Scorpio. I really feel good about our progress on that.

These answers are in addition to the recent statements that Phil Spencer gave regarding that 2017 will be a different year for Xbox One, as they will seek to highlight other titles of the console, leaving for a moment the leadership represented by its main franchises such as Halo, Forza or Gears of War.
