Skype will soon add four new features which are now in testing phase

Four new features will be added to Skype which are reactions on call, integrated camera, messaging reactions and search panel. These new features will arrive in a few months as they are currently being tested for bugs.

It seems that from Skype does not want to feel displaced in the face of the wave of new features that other communication platforms are receiving in recent times with the goal of providing fun capabilities while being in contact with other users. In this sense, the service itself has presented four new features, which are present through Skype Preview for Android and iOS. In other words, they want to have a group of users that test the new features before making them available to the rest through a new stable version.

The four new features are: Reactions on call, integrated camera, messaging reactions and search panel. Regarding the reactions in calls, basically what is offered is the possibility of adding emoticons, texts and photographs in real time in the video conversations that are being maintained, either with individual contacts or even with groups of contacts.

Regarding the built-in camera, Skype offers the possibility to “capture precious moments” and then incorporate emoticons, stickers and annotations to take these photographs to the chat conversations. As for messaging reactions, this is a graphical way of giving answers to chat conversations, working in a similar way to the reactions available on Facebook for publications, and for a few days also for comments, but oriented to specific messages in conversations.

And finally we have the search panel that will make it easier to find and share links, news, restaurants, videos, as well as other content, with family and friends, without leaving the application. Maybe this feature will turn Skype somehow into a mobile social network.

From Skype it is pointed out that new improvements and features are also underway without specifying anything about it, so it will try to keep the intrigue while competing services are still on the heels.

For those who dare with the trial versions, they can download Skype Preview for Android from the Google Play Store. In the case of iOS, they should apply to become Skype Insider for iOS and if selected then they will receive by email the link to download and test this version.
