Tomorrow the Swiss watch manufacturing company will present the new TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45, as it has been seen on its own website ahead of time.
The new watch comes with Android Wear 2.0 and will have all the features you would expect in a smart watch from 2017, as well as some extra that make it more than just a smart watch. We refer precisely to the word “Modular” which is part of the device name.
The Connected Modular 45 comes with a 45 mm dial that allows the user to replace the connected module with a mechanical module (specifically a mechanical module) that will be certified “Made in Switzerland”.
TAG Heuer will use the modular concept by offering watch owners a wide range of materials, colors and combinations. It will be possible to replace the strap, buckle and handles.
Some of the options will include rubber straps (black, blue, red, white, yellow, green, orange and electric blue), leather and rubber straps (black, gray and light brown), ceramic straps and titanium bracelets. The handles will come in titanium, titanium with diamonds, titanium with 18K rose gold, and titanium with a matte black finish. The buckles will be available in PVD or titanium.
In short, you can turn your Connected Modular 45 smart watch into a mechanical clock with one or two button presses, as well as change the strap, handle and buckle.
Unfortunately, the only image of this watch that is present for the moment is the one that you can see in this article, with a very small size.
As for the smart clock, the Connected Modular 45 comes with an Intel chip, water resistance up to 50 meters, WiFi, GPS, NFC (for Android Pay), AMOLED display, 4GB storage, Android Wear 2.0 (with Google Assistant), Ambient light sensor and an autonomy beyond 24 hours.
The new TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 will cost $1,650 ($1,560) in the United States.
