Just a few hours ago, even before the official release of the Windows 10 Creators Update, Redmond’s have made available to Insider program members the first compilation of what will be the second major update of the system that will arrive this same year, the Redstone 3.
The official launch of Creators, as you all know, will be in a couple of days, on the 11th of April, but the Redmond firm is already fully immersed in the first developments of Redstone 3 that will officially reach us by the end of 2017. In this way they has already launched the first compilation to the fast ring of Insider, we talk about the Build 16170, so we have already begun to glimpse some of the news that are expected to reach our teams before the end of the year.
If we refer to the user interface, we have been talking to you these weeks behind Project NEON, a project that is part of the redesign of the system that will suffer in Redstone 3 and we are starting to see reflected it in the updates of some UWP system applications, such as Groove Music or Movies & TV. This is a design that will focus, among other things, transparencies and intelligent out of focus to modernize the appearance of Windows 10 and consume less resources.
We will find many more novelties, as it could not be otherwise. In the Insider program and thanks to the aforementioned Build, a series of icons have just been detected in the Start menu of Windows 10 Redstone 3 corresponding to the possibility of acquiring the desktop version of the firm’s Office suite directly in the official store of the system. It is speculated that this may not be an isolated case, so perhaps the Redmond firm is considering to include other tools in the Windows Store in addition to the current UWP.
On the other hand, another of the leaks that have occurred in the last few hours, to the delight of many, has been the implementation in this new version of Windows, a functionality that was initially expected to make its appearance in Creators Update. This functionality, which was officially presented in October last year, was postponed by the firm itself to finally include it in Redstone 3, something that already has been seen in Build 16170. This will allow you to interact faster with our contacts from the desktop.
