Few days ago a leak proposed the update date chosen by the Chinese firm for Huawei Honor 6X could be in March. Now, according to a GSMArena source, it would not be until May that this terminal would receive the definitive update to Android 7.0 Nougat, completely agreeing with the initial statement of Huawei and dismissing the second rumor.
It was Android Police who echoed at the time of a possible advance of the update to Android 7.0 Nougat from May to March, but now would be totally discarded. So, it all comes back as it was then: the Huawei Honor 6X will receive Android 7.0 Nougat in May, at the latest.
It will be updated in May, as it was originally said. Beta testing has in theory been tested since mid-January, so I do not understand how the update can be delayed. It may be that since it is not premium range, it is not on the top of the list or it is not dedicating so many resources.
What we know officially is that this terminal will not run out of its nougat ration, as it is more than confirmed by Huawei that it will receive the update. What we are not clear is rather when will be the update, although everything points to May. We are 100% sure that the update will not be delayed for the first half of the year.
It is not the most expensive terminal of the firm, but it came out in October, only 4 and a half months ago, almost at the same time as Android 7.0 Nougat which is already update to Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
