Everything indicates that the Snapdragon 660 processor will be one of the great innovations in the mid-range market during the next summer. Already several manufacturers are developing mobile with this processor, including Xiaomi and Meizu, that would provide the MX7 with this new processor.
Now we know a new smartphone, this time the Oppo R6 datasheet that is also testing its performance with the Snapdragon 660 processor. We will know all the details and features of this new midrange.
Yesterday it was known that the Meixu MX7 could have the new Snapdragon 660 at its launch, possibly for the month of June or July, the same processor which we have seen in this new Oppo.
Technical specifications of the Oppo R6 in GFXBench, model R6051
From the data sheet of the Oppo R6 in GFXBench, we have seen a new terminal called Oppo R6051, so we can understand that it could be the future Oppo R6, mid-range lower than the known Oppo R9. It would be located in the midrange by its processor, which as you can check is a Snapdragon 660 at a speed of 2.2 GHz and the Andreno 510 GPU, the new processor of Qualcomm that has eight cores and is expected to be higher in performance than the Snapdragon 653.
Beyond the processor we find a screen of 5.5 inches with Full HD resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, while the RAM is 4GB. The internal storage reaches 64GB. Regarding the camera, it has a 16 megapixel sensor, while the front camera will be 20 megapixels, in both cameras we find 4K recording. Its operating system would be Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the latest version available beyond the Pixel and Nexus.
As we say, everything suggests that it may be a future Oppo R6 with Snapdragon 660, becoming the most powerful mid-range Oppo mobile. As we say this coming summer we could see the premiere of this new processor in several mid-range mobile phones, with the main Chinese manufacturers developing new mobile phones with this processor. We will see to what extent this new Snapdragon 660 surpasses the performance of the beloved Snapdragon 650 and 653 that is used in present powerful mid-range mobiles.
