We all have been waiting for a long time to see Samsung galaxy S8 and here is the first real filtered image of the device that has come to light, allowing us to observe in detail each and every one of the different aspects of the design of the new star terminal of the South Korean firm for this year 2017.
It has been, as usual, Evan Blass who, through VentureBeat has revealed to us the few remaining details to know about the new Galaxy S8, such as its final date of presentation or its technical specifications.
The first thing you see when you view the filtered image is the layout of the device. The rear, with a look very similar to the current Galaxy S7 line, includes a fingerprint reader located on the right side of the device’s photographic sensor, a very unusual location.
On the other hand, the front of the device offers a feeling of being all-screen thanks to the absence of side frames as well as upper and lower frames. Curiously, we also did not find the Samsung logo as in the other generations of the Galaxy S line.
The screen of the device in its smaller model will be 5.8 inches, while in the supposed Plus model, has size up to 6.2 inches, both with an aspect ratio of 18.5: 9. In addition, the panel of the two terminals will have a curvature on its sides, and will occupy 83% of the front of the device. One of the new features included will be the pressure sensitive screen technology in the style of Apple’s 3D Touch.
As for its technical specifications, we will find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, destined only to a limited number of markets, while the other regions will receive a version of the terminal with its namesake Exynos. Both, of course, will be made in a 10nm shape format. Next to the processor, we will find 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage in its basic version and a battery of 3000 mAh for the 5.8-inch model, and 3,500 mAh for the 6 ,2 inches. And to not miss the USB Type C and the 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The photographic section of the Samsung Galaxy S8 would consist of a main sensor of 12 megapixels and a front of 8, both with a focal aperture of 1.7. In addition, next to this last sensor we will have an iris reader, as we could see in the Galaxy Note7.
Among other details, and as we could know yesterday, the Galaxy S8 will have the ability to connect to a monitor to offer a desktop experience with Android. This system will be called DeX, and it will be necessary to purchase a dock that will be connected to the monitor via HDMI. Artificial intelligence will also make an appearance on the Galaxy S8 thanks to Bixby, Samsung’s new virtual assistant.
