This new filtered image shows us the next BlackBerry smartphone BBC100-1 with Android operating system. The events of BlackBerry and Nokia have been two of the most anticipated of MWC 2017, however none has come to satisfy all the hype created over the last weeks. However, it seems that the Canadian company still has at least an ace in the form of a mid-range device.
The code name of this smartphone would be BBC100-1, and thanks to AndroidHeadlines we have been able to know some of its features and take a look at the first filtered images of the device. However, if you were expecting an impressive phone with surprising features, you may be a bit disappointed.
The BBC100-1 design is uncovered
The supposed terminal of BlackBerry has a somewhat disconcerting design, to define it somehow, which the Canadian firm does not have us accustomed. However, there is a reason behind the whole affair. If we remember, the Android phones of the company have been manufactured to this day by another manufacturer called TLC.
However, BlackBerry would have chosen Thai firm PT BB Merah Putih to make the BBC100-1, which may explain the fact that the firm has distanced itself from both the Canadian’s earlier design. However, as far as specifications are concerned, the so-called BBC100-1 will have, according to rumors, a 5.5-inch screen with HD resolution.
Under the hood is presumably the four-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The leaks indicate that the terminal will have a 3000 mAh battery and will support two SIM cards.
This BlackBerry strategy leads us to wonder a bit about the path the Canadian firm is taking. And is that the company is diversifying considerably in what refers to its devices and that might not end up completely right.
