You Can Now Upgrade Your Huawei Mate 8 to Android 7.0 Nougat

Huawei Mate 8 officially starts receiving Android 7.0. Following the Huawei P9, the next in the list of updates of the Chinese firm is its previous phablet flagship. Mate 8 has started today to receive Android 7.0 Nougat next to EMUI 5, with all the news that we could already see in its time in more detail.

As the company itself has announced on its official Facebook page, from today, all Mate 8 users can update their devices to the latest version of Android officially.

In order to request the corresponding system upgrade, you will need to download the HiCare application, available on Google Play for free. It is necessary to comment that this method will only work in the free devices, while those tied to an operator will have to wait still a while.

Once downloaded, you will need to access the Service option> ROM Update> Request. Once this process is completed, the update will begin to download automatically and then complete the installation process.

As I commented, the update comes to the Huawei Mate 8 with all the new features of Android 7.0 Nougat, among which, as always, we highlight the new appearance of notifications, or the new native one-hand mode, a function that users of the Huawei Mate 8 thank you for the large size of the device panel.

In addition, Android 7.0 arrives at Huawei Mate 8 accompanied by EMUI 5, the new layer of signature customization, which offers several interesting features as well as an appearance that follows the design lines of Google’s Design.

Although the update is already available, some users may still be unable to request the new version from the HiCare application. Anyway, in the next few hours all Huawei Mate 8 should be able to upgrade to the latest version of Google’s operating system.
