The Zombies mode in Call of Duty has become one of the most loved parts of the game.
From its simple start as a fun secret in World at War to becoming a full, story-based experience in newer games, players around the world keep pushing the limits of this survival mode.
In Black Ops 6 Zombies, the goal of reaching the highest possible round has taken on new meaning, and one particular journey stands out — getting to Round 100.
This article shares our grind for not only hitting this goal but continuing our quest to beat even higher rounds in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
The Challenge of Reaching Round 100
Getting to round 100 in Black Ops 6 Zombies is no easy task. It takes hours of focus, careful planning, smart resource use, and knowing how the map works to survive dozens of non-stop rounds.
Our journey shows all this and more.
The main reason pushing them to reach round 100 is unlocking a secret reward — finishing a Dark Ops challenge that helps toward earning the ultimate Dark Ops Mastery.
Why Round 100 Matters So Much
The Zombies mode gets harder and harder as rounds go up. By round 100, enemies have tons more health than in earlier rounds, and mistakes can cost a lot.
But, hitting round 100 unlocks a special Dark Ops challenge called “Another Round”, which rewards players with an exclusive calling card — one of the most wanted items in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
Another reason is bragging rights within the community. Beating challenges like round 100 proves skill and often earns respect from other players.
With only 15 Dark Ops challenges needed to unlock Dark Ops Mastery, finishing “Another Round” puts us closer to that desired achievement.
Getting Ready for the Journey
Before even starting the grind, we came up with a well-planned strategy made to efficiently survive 100 rounds. Our loadout, gear, perks, and killstreak plans were carefully picked for lasting long stretches without losing.
Here’s a breakdown of what went into their preparation:
Weapon Choice and Upgrades
One of the main tools for survival was the power drill, used as their primary weapon because it’s good at taking down bosses and tough enemies like the manglers and amalgams.
The drill was slowly Pack-a-Punched three times to make sure it stayed useful well into higher rounds. Throughout the gameplay, it proved priceless against stronger enemies due to its fast melee damage.
For backup, we used Mustang and Sally, a pair of explosive pistols that are good for clearing out big groups of zombies, especially during parasite rounds.
To get the most out of them, the pistols were upgraded until they reached their legendary tier. Also, a suppressor was added to weapons to increase Salvage drops, further supporting our economy in later rounds.
Using Ammo Mods and Perks
We focused on saving up Salvage and avoided buying upgrades we didn’t need early on.
But, they chose to use important perks like PhD Flopper, which lowered explosive self-damage from Mustang and Sally, and Elemental Pop, which added random elemental effects to attacks.
Perks like Stamina-Up and Juggernog were also key for staying alive, especially during fast rounds when zombies seemed overwhelming.
Another important addition was the ammo mod Napalm Burst, which greatly boosted the power of the drill when fighting manglers and bosses.
This mod let the drill deal constant damage over time, proving to be a game-changer during mid-to-high rounds.
Camping Room Strategy
To survive as well as possible, we chose a camping spot that made the most of their killstreak placement and power-ups.
The camping room, complete with lockers and crafting tables, provided access to bonuses like killstreaks, extra Salvage, and keys. This let us carefully farm resources while ending rounds quickly.
The room also provided defendable choke points, making it easier to kill enemies in a controlled space.
Other plans, like using hallway traps to stop enemies, greatly lowered the difficulty of manglers and amalgams — tough enemies that showed up more often as rounds went on.
Killstreaks & Resources Management
Killstreaks like Mutant Injection and Chopper Gunner played a big role in clearing rounds. We carefully saved up over 40,000 Salvage, knowing that making killstreaks in later rounds would become more and more needed.
Killstreak use became the backbone of their gameplay, as zombie groups in rounds 50 and above often required multiple killstreak uses to survive.
While Mutant Injection proved the best at controlling hordes, the Chopper Gunner allowed for high-impact damage without directly fighting zombies.
The Journey: Round-by-Round Breakdown
With everything ready, we started our try for round 100, writing down what happened along the way.
For the most part, early rounds were spent getting stuff, building up extra parts, getting perks, and making weapons better for the long game. But, as the game kept going, things started to get way more crazy.
Rounds 1–25: The Early Part
During the first part of their run, we focused on building a good base in the camping room. With double XP and double Gobblegums, they quickly got perks, armor, and good extra parts.
Bug rounds were a nice break, while tasks like keeping the generator safe were just warm-ups for harder fights to come. Using Pack-a-Punch upgrades only when needed, we relied on early-game streaks to get through tricky rounds.
Rounds 26–50: Middle Game Plans
As the middle game went on, enemy difficulty went up fast. Bug rounds took longer to finish, and dodging strong manglers was key to avoid going down early. By round 40, our base was strong enough to make streaks when needed.
Using the Mutant Injection made high rounds end quickly, while buying ammo mods gave extra damage during boss fights.
Even though we lost a dying wish during round 50 due to a risky fight with amalgams, we kept going strong.
Rounds 51–75: Late Game Changes
With multiple hits needed to take down zombies, the drill and Mustang and Sally had become the main weapons for our survival.
By round 60, the difficulty of manglers was the big problem, forcing us to use Ether Shroud smartly to avoid big groups. Boss rounds happened more often, making us change our plan carefully.
Every kill streak, whether found in lockers or made by hand, was saved and used only when needed to deal with large waves of zombies.
With 40,000 extra parts in their bag by round 75, we used this stash well for farming streaks. Even without flashier weapons like the Ray Gun, their simpler gear worked really well.
Rounds 76–100: Win in Sight
The final stretch was a high-stakes game of lasting long. By this point, gobblegums and extra parts were super important to surviving the non-stop groups.
We used multiple stacked streak plans per round, including the Double Choppy Method, where back-to-back Chopper Gunners were used to end waves.
As the pressure built through rounds 90–99, we kept making big plays, slowly clearing out mangler-heavy groups.
Finally, round 100 came, finishing the Dark Ops challenge and getting one of the hardest awards in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
The Achievement and Beyond
Reaching round 100 wasn’t just an awesome thing to do — it earned us one of the wanted Dark Ops calling cards and brought us closer to the ultimate Dark Ops Mastery goal.
With 9 Dark Ops challenges unlocked out of 15 needed for Mastery, this award made our name as a skilled Zombies player.
