How Rampant Cheating Is Ruining Delta Force for Everyone

Delta Force is one of the best games we have played this years. No matter how many times I say this but it isn’t enough.

But this doesn’t mean I’m currently happy playing it.

So much so that I feel its very existence is threatened by a single, massive problem: widespread cheating.

This issue is ruining the fun of a truly special game and is causing its most loyal fans to think about leaving for good.

This article shares the firsthand experience of our team playing the game.

The Rise and Fall of Delta Force’s Gameplay

First, let’s be clear: this isn’t an attack on the people who make the game, its biggest fans, or the game’s ideas. This is an honest opinion from players who really want to see the game succeed.

Delta Force stood out from other games because of its special mix of character skills, fast-paced combat, and a rewarding system for collecting gear. The game offers three ways to play:

  • Easy Mode: For new players who are still learning.

  • Normal Mode: The most popular mode for the average player.

  • Hard Mode: Where you find the toughest competition and the best rewards.

As skilled players, our team spends most of our time in Normal and Hard modes, which is where the core community plays.

Cheating: A Problem in Every Game Mode

But for all its strengths, the game is being brought down by a constant wave of cheaters. Our team’s frustration is real. Despite the developers’ efforts to improve their anti-cheat software over the years, the problem has only gotten worse.

The cheating situation breaks down like this:

  • Easy Mode: You might find a cheater about once in every 25 games.

  • Normal Mode: The rate increases to about one cheater every 10-15 games.

  • Hard Mode: Cheaters are in almost every single match. They flock to this mode for the valuable loot and high stakes, making it nearly impossible for honest players to compete.

These players use special hacking programs that let them see enemy footsteps and locations through walls, giving them an unfair advantage that honest players can’t overcome.

For those of us looking for a real challenge, it has drained the enjoyment out of our favorite part of the game.

Ineffective Anti-Cheat System

The game’s developers promised things would get better—a stronger anti-cheat system, real payback for lost gear, and actual solutions. They did set up special channels on Discord for players to report cheaters, which got support from popular streamers.

But the results have been terrible.

Out of hundreds of player reports, only a tiny number—about four—have led to a permanent ban. Most cheaters just get a short suspension, which is like a light slap on the wrist even when there’s clear proof they were cheating.

This is confusing and deeply discouraging for everyone. A short break doesn’t stop cheaters; they often just come right back.

These cheaters show up with powerful gear, like golden helmets that make them immune to headshots.

Since their hacks let them see through walls, they don’t even need game sound. They often use guns with unbelievably perfect accuracy.

Many players have learned to recognize and avoid certain usernames and language in their profiles that are known signs of a cheater.

The New Game: Fighting Cheats, Not Players

The most frustrating part of the cheating problem is how it has changed the game itself. Matches used to be about smart plans, quick reflexes, and good strategy.

Now, honest players just try to figure out how to avoid the next cheater instead of playing the actual game.

In a match, teams of cheaters take over.

Having a good run in the hardest mode is now more about luck than skill. We’ve lost entire matches simply because one cheater killed every other player.

It takes the fun out of what should be the most rewarding mode, and for many, it’s reason enough to quit.

Even when you get a small win, like managing to kill a cheater and take their good loot, it feels empty. You know the game isn’t fair.

The excitement of a fight, the thrill of escaping with great gear, and the pride of beating a tough opponent are all gone when cheating ruins every match.

Empty Promises: The Payback That Never Shows Up

One of the most disappointing things is the failed “gear compensation” system. The idea is simple: if you lose your gear to a cheater, the game should pay you back. But in reality, that almost never happens. Most players, including us, log in day after day and find nothing.

For players who have spent a long time building up their in-game wealth, the losses from playing in the hardest mode can be crushing, both to their progress and their enjoyment of the game.

This lack of support makes the cheating problem feel even worse and shows that the system is broken.

Players feel abandoned, especially those who used to play for hours every day and now can barely find a reason to log in.

How Cheating is Breaking the Community’s Spirit

What’s really worrying is the cycle of anger and giving up. Players start each new season hoping the developers will finally fix the cheating, but as each season passes with no real improvement, that hope turns into doubt and disappointment.

Players feel like they’re not being heard. Even with people reporting cheaters every day and popular streamers speaking out, very little changes. Honest players are left with a worse game, desperately waiting for any sign of things getting better.

When you run into a cheater, the match is usually over quickly.

And even if you manage to beat one, you can’t really celebrate because you know they’ll probably be back in another game, still cheating.

The developers’ attempts to calm people down feel empty. Even good ideas for new game modes or content don’t matter, because the main problem—widespread cheating—makes everything else pointless..

Why Does Cheating Hurt So Much in Delta Force?

All online games have cheaters. But in Delta Force, it feels worse because of how much players care about each match. This type of game is all about risk—every time you play, you could lose the valuable gear you worked hard to get.

When a cheater takes that away, it doesn’t just feel unfair; it makes all your skill and effort feel wasted. The excitement is replaced by feeling powerless and angry.

The game itself has great maps and a deep loot system, but it’s all overshadowed by a problem the developers can’t seem to solve for good. At this point, promising new content doesn’t mean much.

Without a fair playing field, players are too frustrated to even enjoy the new stuff.

The Developers’ Problem and What We Want

No one thinks the developers are doing nothing. They’ve set up reporting channels and listen to feedback, which is good.

But their current systems to stop cheaters and pay players back for lost gear are not working. Bans are too rare, known cheaters keep playing, and a real solution feels a long way off.

Players have suggested clear fixes, like:

  • Permanently banning obvious cheaters.

  • Automatically returning lost gear when a cheater is confirmed.

  • Making the servers and matchmaking more secure.

  • Having a dedicated team to find and stop cheaters.

  • Talking openly about what they’re doing to fix the problem.

Until these kinds of changes happen, players will keep losing trust in the game.

Is There Any Hope Left?

What’s next for Delta Force?

Honestly, we just want to be able to log in, have fun, and enjoy the hardest mode without frustration. But right now, our team and many others are just tired of the constant fight against cheaters.

The big question isn’t whether the game can come up with cool new content. The question is whether the developers can make the game fair again and win back the players’ trust.

If they don’t find a real, lasting solution soon, more and more people will leave, and a game that was once great might be ruined for good.

To sum it up: Rampant cheating is more than just a bug in Delta Force; it’s a crisis that is breaking the community’s spirit and threatening the game’s future. It’s exhausting for the players who love it.

Unless the developers take strong and decisive action, the game will continue to be overrun by cheaters, and the loyal fans who once called it the best will be driven away—one unfair match at a time.
