Want to try your hand at grape farming in Farming Simulator 25?
You’re in luck!
This guide will show you how to plant, grow, pick, and sell grapes. By the time you finish reading, you’ll know everything you need to become a top grape farmer in the game.
Getting Started
Hooking Up Equipment
Before we get into the nitty-gritty of grape farming, you need to know how to hook up equipment.
Most jobs will need you to use tools attached to a tractor. To hook up a tool, just back your tractor up to it, connect it, and then drive to the field where you’ll grow your grapes.
Placing Grape Vines
- Open the build menu by pressing Shift + P on your computer.
- Look through the options to find grape vines (they’re in the farming section).
- Zoom in on your field, click to place your first grapevine, and keep clicking to make rows. The game will line up new vines to make straight rows for you.
Soil Preparation
Mulching
Use a mulcher to crush any leftover plants under your grape vines.
Hook the mulcher to your tractor, press V to lower it, and turn it on. Drive over the rows to clear out any plant bits and get the soil ready.
Subsoiling
Use a subsoiler to dig up the ground for planting. This tool works instead of a plow and is great for grape and olive farming.
Hook up the subsoiler, lower it to the ground, and drive over the soil. This makes sure the soil is dug up well for your grapes to grow.
Fertilizing
Spraying
- Fertilizer: Use liquid fertilizer for your grape vines.
- Tool: Get a fertilizer sprayer.
- Filling: Buy the sprayer and drive to a spot where liquid fertilizer is available. Could you attach it to the sprayer to fill it?
- Application: Spray the vines twice during the growth cycle or once when fully grown. This step increases the soil quality and improves grape yield.
Checking Growth
Please turn on the grapes in the crop types section of the map tab and watch them grow.
Different shades of green show how much they’ve grown, and orange means the grapes are ready to pick.
Harvesting
Grape Harvester
Go to the shop and get a grape picker. Some types, like the Greguar, can pick both grapes and olives.
Unlike big harvesters that dump to the side, grape pickers dump out the back. Back the picker up to your trailer and move the grapes right into it.
Preparing for the Next Year
Pre-Pruning
- Tool: Use a pre-pruner to prepare your vines for the next year’s harvest.
- Operation: After harvesting, attach the pre-pruner to your tractor and go over the vines to ensure they’re ready for the next planting season.
Tips for Growing Grapes in Farming Simulator 25
- Vehicle Compatibility:
- Ensure that the vehicles and machinery you use are compatible with each other. Using vehicles without appropriate trailer hitches can lead to inefficiency and additional problems.
- Time Management:
- Properly manage and fast-forward time when necessary. Failing to efficiently advance time can hinder progress in grape farming.
- Price Checking:
- Regularly check the market prices for grape juice and other products. Being unaware of the best prices can lead to lower profits.
- Avoiding Overcomplication:
- Use simple methods for tasks. Unnecessary complexity, such as “magic-ing” money, distracted driving, and vehicle mismanagement can waste time and resources.
- Proper Map Usage:
- Make use of the in-game map to avoid getting lost or taking the wrong path. Checking the map can easily mitigate confusion about directions.
- Trailer Management:
- Properly manage trailer loads to ensure they are secure and utilized efficiently. Troubles with vehicle stability and trailer loading can lead to potential losses and inefficiency.
- Harvest and Production Planning:
- Plan your harvest and production cycles to align with market demands and personal farming goals. A lack of structured planning can result in missed opportunities and lower yields.
- Sell Points Awareness:
- Be aware of where to sell your grapes and related products. Uncertainty about the right sell points can lead to potential profit losses.
By avoiding these mistakes, you can improve your efficiency and profitability in grape farming within the Farming Simulator.

Here’s a quick recap to keep everything in order:
