Zaira Wasim was brave enough to not be quite after being molested.

Everyone right from Bollywood to normal mortals like us rose up supporting Zaira Wasim. The Dangal girl took to Instagram telling that she had been molested by a 39-year-old man while being on her way back to Mumbai from Delhi.

She had also taken a picture of the man whose feet were touching her inappropriately and she also went live on Instagram where she had been seen sobbing while narrating the horrific incident to her fans. She was sleeping during the flight and apparently woke up to realize that this man’s feet were rubbing against her back which had disgusted the 17-year-old actress.

Though the specific details of the incident weren’t revealed, the actress broke down during her Instagram Live session and had said, “So, I just landed and you know the whole irony of this is that the guy… this is not done at all. This is not the way, this is not a girl should be made to feel because this is terrible. Is this how they are doing to take care of girls? No one will help us if we don’t decide to help ourselves. This is the worst thing.”

The man was later found and identified as Vikas Sachdev who hails from Mumbai and he was arrested soon. By the help of the actress’ detailed description and also the airline authorities, the convict was later found and arrested. In addition, a case has been registered under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and Indian Penal Code Section 354 (assault with intent to outrage a woman’s modesty) against alleged culprit Vikas Sachdev.

Now when the entire issue is so intensified, Vikas’ wife came in public and expressed her husband’s side of the story and she said that her husband was not in the right frame of mind at that point of time as he was returning from his uncle’s funeral. Her statement was,  “My husband was coming home from Delhi. His mamaji (maternal uncle) had passed away and he was not in the right frame of mind. He was feeling very low and asked for a blanket. He wanted to sleep. I am shocked at (the actor’s) allegation. The police has taken my husband into custody,” Divya (Vikas’ wife ) said. “I want to ask that the moment she felt that she was molested, why didn’t she take a stand right then?” she added.

As per Vikas, he had apologized to Zaira after he came to know that his legs were touching her shoulders and back. He then said that his act was purely unintentional and he is now shocked at the gravity of the after-effects of his unintentional actions.

A friend of Vikas also came to his resue, he said, “Vikas was upset and tired because of the death. He’d told the airhostess not to disturb him or even serve him the meal; he’d just asked for a blanket to sleep. When the flight was about to land, the actor shouted at him and said ‘this is not your lounge; put your leg down’. He apologised to her and said it had happened inadvertently. He is innocent and doesn’t have any past record either; the police can check,” Vikas’ friend, Kuldeep Bhargava ,told a leading newspaper.
