As I said, if you’re new to the game “Sea of Thieves,” Ancient Vaults are the best place for you to start earning money. Here’s why –

Great for Beginners: These treasure hunts are user-friendly and an excellent way to get used to how the game works.
Gold Hoarder Missions: You can get Ancient Vault quests from the Gold Hoarders, who you’ll find hanging out at an outpost. They’ll hand you maps or clues that point you to the pieces of a unique key.
The objective of the Quests: Your goal is to find all the key pieces, put the key together, and then use it to open a secret vault filled with loot. Just remember, once you open the vault, you’ll have a countdown to grab as much treasure as possible.

Are These Quests Worth It?

Doing these quests has a couple of big benefits:

Quick Leveling Up: You’ll level up your rank with the Gold Hoarders fast, which lets you take on more challenging and rewarding missions down the line.
Making Bank: Those vaults are loaded with gold and trinkets, so you’ll make a lot of in-game money.
Path to Pirate Legend: Higher ranks with the Gold Hoarders and other groups will help you become a Pirate Legend, which means access to special quests and cool exclusives.

One map points you to a treasure chest, and the other to a key, which you need to open the chest.

What Happens After You Pick Up Treasure:

Grabbing the chest or the key makes your ship light up with a beacon on the game map so others can see where you are and might come after you for your loot.
Also, your ship will move slower, making it harder to escape if someone does decide to chase you.

The Payoff

Finishing this quest is relatively quick, taking about 20 minutes, and the reward is sweet—around 50,000 in-game money.

Short Summary: The “Skull of Siren’s Song Voyage” gives new “Sea of Thieves” players a chance to embark on an exciting treasure hunt that’s not too heavy on player vs. player combat while also offering a sizeable monetary reward for completion.

Now that you’ve started earning some money in “Sea of Thieves,” the Hourglass event is my favorite way to earn money in the game. Let me tell you why –

Money-Making Champ: This is widely recognized as the go-to way to fill your virtual pockets with gold in the game.
Rank Up Fast: When you finish Hourglass battles, you can earn a high-rank flag in no time. This flag shows other players that you’re experienced and successful.
Big Rewards: Every battle you win in the Hourglass event pays out a lot of gold. You’re looking at about 25,000 gold each time, even without any extra bonuses you might get for representing an Emissary.

Short Summary: So, the Hourglass is the best bet if you’re looking to make a lot of money quickly and show off your ranking in “Sea of Thieves.”

#4. Fort of the Damned

Next, if you’re playing Sea of Thieves with your friends, Fort of the Damned (FotD) helps you earn potential profits and gameplay experience. Here’s why I like this activity so much:

Best with Friends: This activity shines when you’re playing with a group, ideally with a four-person crew, because it’s both challenging and rewarding.
Top-Notch Loot: One of the big prizes is the Chest of Legends, which is super valuable. But that’s not all; you’ll also find loads of other precious items waiting for you.
Stay Sharp: Since this activity can attract other players looking to swoop in on your hard-earned treasure, it’s a smart move to have one team member keep watch on your ship. This way, you won’t get caught off guard by surprise visitors looking to claim your loot.

Short Summary: So, FotD is a fantastic way to rack up some serious treasure, especially when you’ve got a full crew to join in the fun and someone looking out for potential party crashers.

#5. Fleet of Fortune

Last but not the least, the Fleet of Fortune is a world event that’s a solo friendly event to make some in-game money.

Solo-Friendly Event: This event is easier to handle on your own compared to many other events in the game, which often require teamwork.
Great Loot: The main highlight is the Chest of Fortune, which alone is worth 20,000 in-game gold. On top of that, you can also find skeleton captains’ chests and various gems during the event.
Improving Skills: Engaging in this event is a great way to get better at using cannons. As you take on enemy ships, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice and refine your cannon firing skills.

Short Summary: So, the Fleet of Fortune is ideal for solo players looking to score some big treasures and improve their battle skills at the same time.
