Pack-a-Punch vs Weapon Rarity in Black Ops 6 Zombies

The Pack-a-Punch machine is core to Black Ops 6 Zombies, but most people have no clue how it affects your gun’s damage.

Then, you bring in the weapon rarity or color, and no one knows exactly what it does other than making it more powerful now.

I will break down all three levels of Pack-a-Punch, and all five levels of gun rarity, and show you how rarity affects Pack-a-Punch. So get your paper and your calculators out because we are about to get nerdy. Let’s get it.

Step-by-Step Testing

Baseline Testing: Weapon Rarities

First, I’ll test all the rarities by themselves without Pack-a-Punch to see how much the damage changes.

Second, I’ll test all three levels of Pack-a-Punch without rarities again, so I can see just how Pack-a-Punch affects damage.

Lastly, we’ll see how rarities and Pack-a-Punch work together in increasing the damage and exactly what they do.

For this to be as accurate as possible, we first need to get baseline damage of an upper chest and a headshot (or a critical shot). I’ll also use my gun in single fire to make the numbers easier to see.

So, we start with 29 for the upper chest and 118 for the headshot.

Weapon Rarities Explained

  • Gray (Stock) Gun: Baseline damage of 29 (upper chest) and 118 (headshot).
  • Green (Uncommon) Rarity: Damage increases to 43 for the upper chest (about 50% increase) and 177 for the headshot.
  • Blue (Rare) Rarity: Damage increases to 58 (double the gray) for the upper chest and 236 for the headshot.
  • Purple (Epic) Rarity: Damage increases to 87 for the upper chest and 354 for the headshot.
  • Orange (Legendary) Rarity: Damage increases to 116 for the upper chest and 472 for the headshot.

Here’s the summary for weapon rarities:

  • Uncommon (Green): 1.5x damage increase
  • Rare (Blue): 2x damage increase
  • Epic (Purple): 3x damage increase
  • Legendary (Orange): 4x damage increase

Pack-a-Punch Testing

Now for Pack-a-Punch. To make the testing consistent, I’m using the Model L assault rifle.

Pack-a-Punch Levels:

  1. Pack-a-Punch 1: Increases to 58 for the upper chest and 261 for the headshot (2x the baseline damage).
  2. Pack-a-Punch 2: Increases to 116 for the upper chest and 524 for the headshot (4x the baseline damage).
  3. Pack-a-Punch 3: Increases to 232 for the upper chest and 1047 for the headshot (8x the baseline damage).

Combining Rarity with Pack-a-Punch

To see how they work together, we tested each Pack-a-Punch level with a legendary (orange) gun:

  1. Pack-a-Punch 1 with Legendary Rarity:
    • Upper Chest: 232
    • Headshot: 944
    • This shows the damage has doubled due to Pack-a-Punch, meaning an 8x increase from the gray gun.
  2. Pack-a-Punch 2 with Legendary Rarity:
    • Upper Chest: 464
    • Headshot: 1168
    • This results in 16x the damage of a gray gun.
  3. Pack-a-Punch 3 with Legendary Rarity:
    • Upper Chest: 928
    • Headshot: 3776
    • The damage now equals 32x the baseline gray gun.

Summary

In conclusion, understanding the exact multipliers of Pack-a-Punch and weapon Rarity is critical for maximizing your damage output in Black Ops 6 Zombies:

  • Pack-a-Punch 1: 2x damage
  • Pack-a-Punch 2: 4x damage
  • Pack-a-Punch 3: 8x damage
  • Weapon Rarities:
    • Green: 1.5x
    • Blue: 2x
    • Purple: 3x
    • Orange: 4x

These values multiply together, meaning a fully upgraded legendary gun with Pack-a-Punch 3 will deal 32 times the damage of a baseline gray weapon.

Understanding these mechanics can greatly influence your gameplay strategy, making you more effective in combating the zombie hordes.
