What is the storyline of Shadow warrior ?
Went for purchasing katana
The main character of the game is Lo Wang is an assassin. He works for Orochi Zilla, which is a powerful Japanese industrial magnate. Lo Wang goes to Mizayaki. He works as a collector for purchasing an old and ancient Katana for 2 billion dollars.
But Mizayaki denied to accept the offer. Wang tried to take the Katana by force which led to killing some of his men. Wang losses the fight and Mizayaki captured him.
Wang joins Hoji
Later he reveals his connection with the Demon named Hoji, and is imprisoned. But he flew away when the Demons attacked the area. During the attack Mizayaki get killed. Wang tries to join with Hoji for the shake of getting the ancient sword. Hoji explains that the ancient old Nobitsura Kage, is very powerful and able of killing even the immortals and is curse to the demons. He also brings up that the Nobitsura Kage is actually three swords, and so Wang look for them out to merge them all into one.
Discovery of Whisperers
Later in the game, Wang discover Whisperers which are magical golems which have memory in place of a heart. He also find out that one of the immortals who used to rule over the Demon chose to kept away this from all and hide it as a secret.
The ancient are unable to touch the katana ( Nobitsura Kage) . As just by touching the sword they can kill themselves. The sod possess the ability to actually kill the ancient. But as Whisperers are not actually alive they are able to touch the sword behaving as couriers.
Flashback
By killing these golems, Wang takes their memories. He learns the previous story of the game.
In the shadow kingdom (which is the home kingdom of the demons) rain started pouring because of the tears of crying of Ameonna.
Ameonna is a sister of Hoji and all other ancient.
Ameonna and Hoji have a affair and because of the affair she feel happy. She never cried afterwards and this stopped the rain. It never happen again and it caused drought across the kingdom. Enra, the king of the shadow kingdom discovered their affair and provided a strict punishment. Hoji’s brother Gozu, Mezu, and Xing parted the pair and as a punishment they skinned his face. He was forced to cover it by wearing mask. Ameonna realized his responsibilities for her kingdom which make Hoji angry.
Hoji Killed Ameonna
He planned to kill his sister by poisoning him. It will help him to take revenge against Enra. He tricked one of his brother Xing. With the help of him he delivers the poison which led to the eternal sleep of Ameonna and causing a drought. He told Xing that when Enra will come to temple he can overthrow him and he can overthrow him. Mezu, who was the most loyal brother of Erna stopped him.
Erna ordered to cut of Xing with the help of Gozu for his role in planning his murder. They don’t kill him completely and send him to the mortal kingdom because of betrayal and breaking trust.
On the other hand Erna found out that he can only revive Ameonna by sacrificing an ancient. That’s the reason why he find Nobitsura Kage which is the only thing in the planet that can kill an Ancient. Furthermore Erna made a deal with Zilla, who was mortal, to find and add all the sword promising a save him from the disease paraplegia and the help the demons to conquer the world.
Due to his request for the last piece of the Katana and in order to help Hoji bring the final piece of the weapon. Wang, turns against his boss, whose actual mission was to deliver the Nobitsura Kage to Zilla, he betrayed the Kyokagami twins and fellow companion assassins who also work under Zilla.
It was found out that Zilla was the one who seized the Whisperers the whole time. He was addicted to the third piece of the katana and wants to claim it.
Learn about Hoji
When Enra teleports Hoji back to the Shadow kingdom , Wang uses the last Whisperer on earth to travel to the Shadow. He learns that Hoji originally created the Whisperers, regrets his role in plunging the Shadow kingdom into misery and seeks to undo his wrong by creating another Whisperer. In the meantime he takes away his memory of Wang. Wang convinces him that Enra needs to be stopped, and so the two join forces once more, with Hoji seeking to redeem himself by killing Enra and using his blood to revive Ameonna.
Introduction of Zilla
Upon their return to earth, Wang confronts Zilla, and cuts off his sword arm. As Wang reassembles the Nobitsura Kage to its full Ancient-killing power, Zilla ran away by the help of the Kyokagami twins.
Having Nobitsura Kage in his hands, Wang returns back to Shadow kingdom with Hoji to face up Enra. Wang is imprisoned by Enra and stripped of the sword. In addition erna tries to sacrifice Hoji to revive Ameonna. By means of using the original Whisperer that Hoji made. But Hoji hands the sword back to wang and leaves the Whisperer kingdom, which forces Enra to withdraw back. Meanwhile by touching the Nobitsura Kage Hoji killed himself.
Rain start again
Later Wang corners Enra, and after a tense battle with Xing’s, Enra allows Wang to kill him. Since he was the only sacrificial candidate left for awakening Ameonna.
Ameonna wakes up, and by seeing the dead body of his beloved Hoji, she cry and shed her tears which ultimately brings the rain back to the Shadow kingdom.
