Testing Secret Weapons in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Call of Duty Zombies fans are always excited about new hidden weapons. As we work towards achieving Prestige Master in Black Ops 6, you unlock special weapon blueprints that bring back memories of past games.

But how good are these secret weapons in high rounds and against tough bosses?

This article looks at 4 special weapon blueprints tested by us, checking how well they work in regular gameplay and the challenging Terminus boss fight.

The Robot Abomination Blueprint – DM10

The first weapon tested was the Origins Robot blueprint for the DM10 marksman rifle, called the Robot Abomination.

You get this at Prestige 6 Level 50, and it’ll remind you of ‘World at War’, mixing fantasy with powerful weaponry.

Its basic headshot damage is 193, but at the highest level, it does an impressive 772 damage.

However, in Zombies gameplay, it wasn’t as impressive as these numbers might suggest. Marksman rifles aren’t very popular in Zombies because they shoot slowly and aren’t easy to use in fast-paced situations.

When tested at different levels and Pack-a-Punch (PAP) upgrades, the Robot Abomination didn’t do well in later rounds. By round 50, it wasn’t very strong against tough enemies like the Terminus boss.

Even at the highest PAP level, it only did about 12,000 damage, which isn’t great for high rounds. The slow fire rate made it even less effective against hordes of zombies.

In the Terminus boss fight, it was okay but not as good as other weapons. Its slow shooting speed and moderate damage output made it a less than ideal choice for this intense battle.

Overall, the Robot Abomination got a score of 6 out of 10, showing that looks can be deceiving when it comes to zombie-slaying effectiveness.

Warrior’s Blood Blueprint – STG44

Next is the Warriors Blood blueprint for the STG44, which looks like the gun from Call of Duty World at War. Players get this at Prestige 2 Level 50, making it an early reward for dedicated players.

It does 141 damage normally and shoots automatically, making it good for early rounds. When upgraded to PAP level 1, it does 2,224 headshot damage and is renamed “Lead Lizzy”.

It has 80 bullets and reloads quickly, which is great for killing lots of zombies without frequent interruptions.

Interestingly, it worked particularly well against stronger enemies like Manglers and Abominations, showing its versatility.

However, in later rounds, it wasn’t as effective, demonstrating the common problem of weapons becoming less useful as the game progresses and zombies get tougher.

In the Terminus boss fight, it started well but got weaker as the fight went on. While it could dish out consistent damage, the overall impact wasn’t as high as hoped for such an iconic weapon.

The Warriors Blood got a respectable score of 7.7, marking it as a solid choice for many situations, even if it’s not the best for endgame content.

Teddy is a Liar Blueprint – Thompson

One of the first rewards is the ‘Teddy is a Liar’ blueprint, which turns the C9 SMG into an old Thompson gun.

Players get this at Prestige 1 Level 50, and it looks like the gun from World at War, complete with unique inscriptions that add to its charm.

The Thompson does 123 damage per headshot normally. When upgraded once, it has 50 bullets, doubling its original capacity.

When upgraded to PAP level 2, it does about 3,700 headshot damage, making it quite potent for later rounds.

However, its main weakness is that it uses up bullets incredibly quickly. This rapid-fire nature means players need to find more ammo often, which can be challenging in the heat of battle. This makes it hard to use in long games where ammo conservation becomes crucial.

In the boss fight, it looked cool and could clear out smaller enemies quickly, but ran out of ammo too fast to be truly effective against the main boss.

The constant need for ammo drops severely limited its usefulness in this high-stakes encounter. It got a score of 7.5, reflecting its strong points and significant drawbacks.

VMP Elite Blueprint

The best reward is the VMP Elite blueprint, which turns the Jackal PDW into the VM from Black Ops 3. Players get this at Prestige 8 Level 50, making it a true veteran’s prize.

It does 115 damage per headshot normally, and 860 when upgraded once. It shoots fast and has 80 bullets when upgraded, making it excellent for quick gameplay and dealing with large groups of zombies.

When fully upgraded to PAP level 3, it does about 7,232 damage, making it a powerhouse for killing lots of zombies and tough enemies alike. Its high rate of fire and large magazine size allow players to mow down hordes with ease.

However, this strength is also its weakness. It uses up bullets very quickly, which is a problem when ammo is hard to find in later rounds.

You might find yourself searching for ammo drops more often than you would like, especially during crucial moments.

In the Terminus boss fight, it was fast and reloaded quickly, allowing for good mobility. However, it still ran out of ammo too fast to be a top-tier choice for this extended battle.

It got a score of 7.3, highlighting its strong performance but notable limitations.

Concluding Lines

While these secret weapons bring back good memories from older games and offer unique gameplay experiences, they’re not always the best choices for tough Zombie gameplay, especially in high rounds and boss fights.

Here are my final scores:

  • Robot Abomination (DM10): 6/10 – Good but not great, limited by its slow fire rate.
  • Warriors Blood (STG44): 7.7/10 – Solid and dependable, a good all-rounder.
  • Teddy is a Liar (Thompson): 7.5/10 – Looks cool and powerful, but uses too much ammo.
  • VMP Elite (VMP): 7.3/10 – Works well and fast, but uses up ammo too quickly.

These secret weapons look cool and remind players of beloved past games in the series, but they’re not always the best choices for high rounds and boss fights in Black Ops 6.

While they each have their strengths, their weaknesses become more apparent in challenging situations.

Players should think carefully about when to use these weapons, perhaps saving them for earlier rounds or specific strategies rather than relying on them for endgame content.

Their nostalgic value and unique attributes make them fun to use, but serious players might want to consider more practical options for the toughest challenges in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
