Well, to me, Discord comes the first thing to my head.
You might be wondering, how come discord got this much amount of success within 6-7 years of its release?
Well, there’s not one or two but multiple factors behind it. And one of them is its features.
From a discord server creator to a discord server member, it has got features for everyone.
Although most of the features like changing the discord theme are free, there’s a subscription service called Discord Nitro.
The Discord Nitro goes one step further and unlocks another layer of extra features for users. But the one thing that always had me puzzled was should I buy it?

Paid Discord vs. Free Discord
The free discord comes with every necessary feature you need for communicating with other members of the Discord Server. However, on the other hand, Nitro offers quite a lot of perks but coming up I’ll share 5 of my favorite perks that unlock after you buy the Nitro pack.
Animated Avatars
Instead of a static image, Discord Nitro users are allowed to use an animated GIF as their avatar.
Custom Discord Tag
Every discord username includes a random four-digit number after it. Without Nitro, you’re forced to use the same number whereas, with the Nitro Subscription, you’re free to change the number. However, the only condition is the name and number combination shouldn’t be taken.
Increased upload limit
Without a Nitro pack, you’re restricted to send files up to 8 MB whereas Nitro subscribers can upload files up to 50 and 100 MB, respectively.
Global emojis
In a discord server, its owner is allowed to set up some unique custom emojis. Typically, these can only be used on the servers on which they were made. Nitro allows people to use any emoji they have in their library, on any server.
Screen Sharing
Share your screen with your friends in up to 720p at 60 FPS or 1080p at 30 FPS.
When you buy a Nitro subscription on a server, you get a small badge next to their username. This shows that they’re a Nitro user.

Is it worth it?
Well, first answer me – Why do you use Discord?
If you’re gonna use it only for casual chatting on Discord, then you surely don’t need the additional Nitro features.
Instead, you’ve your own Discord Server or you manage multiple servers then buying the Nitro Subscription becomes even more important.
