Ever since the launch of PS4, its users have reported countless bugs and errors.
Thankfully, they do get fixed over time. However, with every fix, some unknown errors are introduced.
Now, recently Sony rolled out an update version 9.03 version worldwide with the intention to fix the PS4 WiFi Booster error.
Even though those errors were fixed but at the expense of the PS4 controller flashing white light error. If you’re getting the same error when playing PS4 anime games, I’ll share workarounds that you can implement to temporarily fix the white light error. Let’s get started:
What can make the PS4 controller flash white?
Some users have reported that their PS4 controllers have been known to flash white randomly when they’re not in use. This has been a topic of discussion for a while now, with no clear answer as to what could be causing the issue. Some people believe that there is something wrong with the controller’s internal wiring, while others say it’s simply due to dirty contacts on the controller. So far, Sony hasn’t offered a clear explanation of what could be causing this problem.
The most common reason for this is that there is something wrong with the controller’s internal wiring, which causes it to flash white randomly when not in use. For example: if you are using an older model of the PS4 controller and then plugging in a new one for the first time, it will likely cause your system’s software to become confused about which device should have priority over others (which may lead to flashing lights).
There are also other reasons why this might happen, such as dirty contacts on the controller or even dust buildup inside of it, which can cause problems like these types of issues.
How to fix a PS4 controller that’s flashing white?
The PlayStation 4 is a great machine and one of the most powerful consoles on the market, but it’s not without flaws. One of the biggest problems that many people have experienced with their PS4 consoles is the controller. It’s not uncommon to see people suddenly stop playing games because they can’t figure out why their controller isn’t working correctly.
If you’re experiencing issues with your PlayStation 4 controller, there are a few things that you can do to try and fix the problem.
Use a Toothpick to Clear the Obstruction
First, check if any debris or dirt is blocking the controller’s sensors. If so, you can try using a toothpick or other small object to clear the obstruction. If that doesn’t work, you may need to take your controller in for repairs.
Send Your Controller for Repair
If you want to send your controller in for repairs, be sure to include all of the controllers’ components. This consists of the battery, if it’s removable, along with any other parts that could be damaged by sending them in.
Reset Your PS4 Analog Controller
If your PS4 analog controller isn’t working as it should, you can take a few simple steps to reset it and get it working again. First, make sure the controller is correctly plugged into the PlayStation 4 system and that all cables are connected. Once that’s checked, press the power button on the console for about two seconds to turn it off. Next, wait 30 seconds and then turn the console back on by pressing the power button again. After that, connect your controller to your computer via USB cable and open up “Controller Manager.” Next, click on “Reset Controller” under the “Settings” tab and follow the on-screen instructions. Finally, re-connect your controller to your PlayStation 4 system and enjoy improved gameplay!
Update The PS4 Device And Driver
If you are experiencing problems with your PlayStation 4 controller, it may be time to reinstall the device and driver. This process can be done on a Windows computer and is recommended if the controller does not seem to be working as intended. By following these steps, you can fix any issues that may have arisen from incorrect software installation or faulty drivers.
First, open Device Manager by clicking the Start button and typing “Device Manager.” When Device Manager opens, right-click on the “PlayStation 4” device and select “Update Driver.” If you have already installed the latest driver from Sony, select “Browse My Computer for Driver Software” and then click on the “Download” button next to the appropriate driver for your computer. Once the driver has been downloaded, follow the instructions onscreen to install it. Once the installation is complete, restart your computer.
Launch The PS4 In Safe Mode
If your PS4 controller is still flashing white light and you don’t know how to fix it, you may want to try launching the system in safe mode. Here’s how to do it:
- Turn on your PS4.
- Go to Settings and select System.
- Under “System settings,” select Advanced startup.
- Select Safe mode and press the X button to confirm.
- After the safe mode is launched, choose the Restart system to continue the fix process.

If your PlayStation 4 controller is flashing white and won’t work, you can fix the issue using a micro USB power cable. First, make sure that the controller is charged and connected to the PS4. Then, use the power cable to connect the controller to the PS4’s USB port.
- Check if your PS4 is connected to an HDMI port on your TV that supports HDCP 1.4 or later.
- Make sure you’ve plugged your PS4 into an outlet that works with your console. If your PS4 is plugged into an outlet that doesn’t work, unplug it and plug it into a different one.
- Plug out the power cable from the back of your PS4, wait 30 seconds and then plug it in again.
- Press and hold the “Power button” on the front of your console for 7 seconds until you hear two beeps: one when you initially press down and another 7 seconds later. Your system will turn off entirely after 5 seconds of holding down this button.
- Connect a DualShock 4 controller to the console using a USB cable while it’s powered down. You should see the light on the front of the console turn blue when it’s connecting properly.
- Turn on your console to see whether
