Registered as a heavily funded game on Kickstarter, Exploding Kittens is a unique card game where you win by tricking your friends.
Even though I really like this game, it’s really expensive at over $22.

The best way to get into the spirit of Space Cats Fight Fascism is by imagining that you’re the captain of your spaceship. You can make all the decisions, and your cat crew will obey them.
In this game, you play as a team of cats fighting against an evil regime run by humans. The goal is to help these oppressed felines fight back against human oppression using some cool weapons like laser swords or catnip-powered cannons.
It’s pretty much like Exploding Kittens but with cats instead!
Kitty Paw
Kitty Paw is a card game for 2 to 4 players. This game has been compared to Exploding Kittens and has even been called the “cute, funnier version” of that game. The art style is also cute and funny, so it has that going for it!
Bears vs Babies
Bears vs Babies is an easy game to learn and play, but it can be hard to master. The game’s goal is simple: collect the most bears by building your Bear army or Baby army. You can also win by collecting the most babies.

Magic the Gathering is a game that’s close in scope to exploding kittens. It’s a digital collectible game where players take turns casting spells and summoning creatures to battle with one another until only one player remains standing.
You can play two-player matches or multiplayer free-for-all modes, and matches are played with decks of cards you build yourself from scratch.
The gameplay itself is simple enough: players take turns drawing from their decks of cards and playing them onto their side of the arena, where they can use those cards’ special abilities in an attempt to destroy their opponent’s life points (which are represented by figures on each player’s health bar). The first person whose health depletes to zero loses!
While Magic isn’t exactly new—it was released in 1993—it has managed to stay relevant through its nearly infinite number of expansion sets, which have helped keep things fresh over time.
Interestingly enough, though, while these expansions add new mechanics or features like new types of creatures or spells, they don’t change how you play.
Instead, they just introduce additional ways to customize your deck to suit whatever style you’re going for at any given moment.

The Game of 49 is a card game for 2-6 players, created in 2011 by James Ernest. It’s similar to Exploding Kittens in that you can play it with your friends and it’s fun. It’s also a deck of cards with rules on them.
If you love exploding kittens but have exhausted all the ways to play it, The Game of 49 might be what you need. This game has three phases: voting, playing cards, and scoring points.
Each player gets one chance to vote (a round happens as often as there are players), after which they decide whether they want to play their hand or pass on this round of voting entirely. Once everyone has passed or played all their cards, whoever has the highest number wins!
Throw Throw Burrito by Exploding Kittens
If you’re looking for a card game that pits players against each other and is fun for all ages, then Throw Throw Burrito is the perfect game.
Players play cards to match them in this game with cards on the table. If a player can create three or more matches in a row by matching them up correctly, they win! The first person who wins five rounds wins the game!
This fast-paced card game has tons of replay value because it comes with 13 unique characters with special abilities and powers—making each round different from the last.
Cat Lady – The Card Game
Cat Lady – The Card Game is a game with a goal similar to Exploding Kittens: it’s all about ensuring you have the most points at the end of the game.
The difference between these two games is that Cat Lady has three types of cards: cats, items, and rooms.
Cats are worth one point each, but different versions of cats can be used for special effects like stealing or swapping cards from other players’ hands. Items are worth one point apiece, but they come with unique abilities that can affect gameplay differently.

Unstable Unicorns
Unstable Unicorns is the right choice if you’re looking for a card game similar to exploding kittens but with a more whimsical and silly vibe. It’s also a lot more fun to play than exploding kittens.
Unstable Unicorns was created by the same people who brought us Exploding Kittens, and yes—the two games are very similar!
They both involve players trying to avoid drawing cards while they take turns drawing from the deck to gain points. However, some differences make it worthwhile to play both of these games if you enjoy this genre.
Conclusion
Exploding kittens is a fun game; I agree with that.
But after looking at the high pricing, you can have fun playing other games like exploding kittens.
