In this EvilCraft guide for Minecraft, we’ll walk you through all the steps you need to take to master this mod, which adds dark magic and scariness to the game. From getting important materials to making powerful items and changing biomes.
EvilCraft mod brings dark elements and fun mechanics to your Minecraft gameplay that you might have never tried before.
Here’s how to get started with EvilCraft in a beginner-friendly way.
Mining Dark Ore
The first step in your EvilCraft journey is to find dark ore and deep slate dark ore. You can use an iron pickaxe to mine these ores.
However, it’s best to have Fortune enchantment on your pickaxe because it will give you both dark gems and crushed dark gems, which you’ll need later on.
These ores are usually found near Redstone, so look around the same Y levels.
Crafting a Darkened Apple
Once you have your dark gems, the next step is to get an apple. Mix the apple with a dark gem in your inventory to create a darkened apple. This darkened apple is key for summoning the origins of EvilCraft.
You’ll want to feed this darkened apple to a pig. When you do, the pig will jump around wildly and an anomaly will appear when it dies. Quickly throw a book into this anomaly, called a Spirit Portal, to get the “Origins of Darkness” book.
Exploring the Origins of Darkness
The Origins of Darkness book will give you new knowledge with its chapters, “The First Age” and “The Second Age”. Basically, this book will be your guide as you go deeper into the mod.
The Dark Temple and the Environmental Accumulator
The next step is to find a dark temple with an environmental accumulator in the middle. You can make powerful items by using this ancient machine.
Start by creating a weather container by mixing dark gems, a glass bottle, and sugar. Depending on the current weather, you can throw the weather container into the environmental accumulator to charge it with the local weather.
For example, when it’s clear weather and you throw in the weather container, you will get “Only Sunshine”.
You can also make more complex items like “When the Rain Begins to Fall” by charging it during rainy weather. If you want to have an endless source of water, use three dark gems with your rainwater container.
Lightning Grenades and Biome Extracts
One of the coolest items in EvilCraft mod is the Lightning Grenade. Make this by mixing a weather container filled with thunderstorm weather and eight ender pearls.
This grenade will make lightning wherever it’s thrown, which is useful if you need to hit something specific with lightning.
Another unique feature is the Biome Extract. Mix crushed dark gems and glass bottles to create biome extract bottles. When charged at a dark temple, these bottles will store the biome of the place they were charged.
Evil Mobs
EvilCraft adds new mobs to the game, including the poisonous libella, which are cute dragonflies during the day but turn deadly at night. Killing these mobs drops poison sacks which can be used to make poison buckets and enchantments.
The mod also adds werewolves, which are terrifying at night and harmless villagers by day. Killing them drops valuable materials such as werewolf bones, fur, and flesh.
Enchantments
EvilCraft offers several enchantments to improve your weapons and tools. Notable ones include:
- Life Stealing: Steal life from your enemies.
- Poison Tip: Apply poison to your weapons.
- Unusing: Stops your tools from breaking by making them unusable when they are about to break.
Blood Magic
Blood is a central theme in EvilCraft, and getting and using it is important. Here’s how you can start:
- Blood Extractor: Make this tool with dark gems, spikes, and glass. Holding it while killing mobs will fill it with blood which can be used in various machines.
- Blood Chest: This magical chest repairs tools using blood. However, be careful as it can give negative enchantments to your items.
- Blood Infuser: This machine infuses items with blood, turning dark gems into dark power gems. It’s a more efficient way of converting materials using blood.
Advanced Blood Machines
To automate your blood collection, use the Sanguinary Pedestal. It efficiently drains blood from blood stains in the area. You can make it even better by connecting it with Chalices to automatically fill containers in your inventory.
Upgrade your machinery by using Promises—special tiers that improve how your blood-related machines work.
Colossal Blood Chest
If the standard blood chest is too small for your needs, make the Colossal Blood Chest.
It offers more storage space and doesn’t have the negative effects of using the standard chest.
Powerful Tools and Weapons
EvilCraft introduces several strong tools and weapons:
- Vain Sword: Provides looting and increases your blood intake from kills.
- Necromancer Staff: Summons zombies to attack mobs.
- Mace of Distortion: Creates powerful blasts to push enemies away.
- Blood Pearl of Teleportation: A reusable, blood-powered teleportation device.
Mob Farming with Spirits
Using Boxes of Eternal Closure and machines like the Spirit Furnace and Spirit Reanimator, you can create passive mob farms or turn mobs into spawn eggs for later use.
The Final Ingredient: Garmonbozia
Lastly, you can create Garmonbozia, an important component for making high-level items.
Upgrading your Vengeance Focus and getting Vengeance Essence by defeating Vengeance Spirits is necessary to make this mixture.
Besides the clever use of blood, dark magic, and powerful relics, the EvilCraft mod adds a unique dimension to your Minecraft gameplay. From collecting blood to making enchanted tools and crafting evil devices, this mod offers a rich and immersive experience.
