We are super excited about the latest update for Black Myth: Wukong, version 1.0.12.
This update brings many cool new features and fixes that new players and longtime fans will love.
It hit the Epic Games store on December 10, 2024, packed with awesome stuff. Let’s break it down for you.
New Game Mode: Challenge
The biggest addition is the Challenge Mode, which you can access at any keeper shrine after beating the game once. It has two parts:
- Boss Rematch: Fight old bosses again, but now you can pick how hard they are. Remember, you can only fight bosses you’ve already faced in the main game.
- Boss Rush: Take on multiple bosses one after another. You can make it harder with special rules, and some bosses have new moves. Win these fights to get rare items and recipes.
New Stuff to Use
The update adds lots of new items and gear:
- New Foods and Drinks: Try out the sour wind frost enduring croissant and the tough antler to get new benefits.
- New Trinkets and Gear: Get cool items like the Stone Tiger Tally and Ever Burning Palace Lantern, plus new equipment like the Three Hill Crown.
- New Weapons: Check out the King Mallet and the Leeching Centipede Staff for new ways to fight.
Map Feature
Exploring got easier with the new Journeyer’s Chart. You unlock it when you first visit Black Wind Mountain.
After that, you can buy maps for new areas at Keeper Shrines, so you won’t miss any hidden treasures.
Special Holiday Armor
To celebrate Chinese New Year, you can get the free Armor of Opulence. It looks awesome and stands for good luck and happiness. Just claim it from the Trailblazer’s Gift at any Keeper Shrine.
Music Player
Music fans will love the new Black Myth Wukong Soundtrack Selection. It’s a separate app where you can listen to the game’s great music. Some songs might not work because of copyright stuff, and you might need the Epic Deluxe Edition to use it.
Game Fixes and Improvements
The update also fixes a lot of bugs and makes the game better:
- Boss Fixes: They fixed glitches like Zub’s weird bug and Long’s unbeatable attacks. Many boss fights now work smoother.
- Better Fighting: Combos and strong attacks feel better now, and it’s easier to use medicines.
- Better Graphics: The game runs smoother for both medium and low NPCs, and RTX users get better lighting effects.
Language and Menu Fixes
They added Turkish language support and made translations better in other languages. They also fixed some menu issues and made text easier to read.
Future Content and Teases
With this update, the game makers have hinted at big plans for Black Myth: Wukong.
